Ok, I think that I am starting to get it.
Obama intentionally tossed 6 million working, paying people off of their health insurance.
He then spent about two billion dollars to get about 100,000 lower income people enrolled in health insurance.
Most of those enrollees got on Medicaid, not actual insurance.
But, the reason that Obama genuinely doesn't care about the 6 million people, some of whom are gong to die, is that he wanted all of that to happen because he wants to re-distribute wealth.
Ah!
Don't expect him to apologize, back pedal or repeal. It is full steam ahead, because if socialized health care is the holy grail for liberal progressives, the juicy deliciousness inside the cup is re-distribution of wealth.
He is even saying it now. I heard him giving a speech about how the inequalities of wealth distribution hurt the middle class.
Hunh.
"You can't be for big government, big taxes and big bureaucracy and still be for the little guy." Ronald Reagan
Why? Because "Free enterprise has done more to reduce poverty than all the government programs dreamed up by democrats." Ronnie
But see, democrats make their message sound a lot like, "We want to help people." That message is a lot more popular than, "We want you to work hard, achieve a whole lot and then be proud of yourself."
Also, getting a check from someone is so much quicker than going to school, working hard, getting a degree, getting a good job. See?
And, here is the liberal philosophy behind that: "When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear." Dr. Thomas Sowell
I wish that guy would get more air time. But the left calls him names that would make Martin Bashir blush.
The Obama administration is completely out of touch with regular, ordinary people.
In love with their ideals, with no concept of reality and that degree in liberal arts, you can see how things that just won't work in the real world pass with flying colors.
Obamacare is built on the notion that healthy people between the ages of 18 and 29 will sign up and will pay astronomical premiums.
(Aren't people allowed to stay on their parents' plans until they are 26?)
So, a guy, who has zero health costs, is supposed to start voluntarily paying $200 for health insurance premiums for health insurance that he will never use? And, the deductibles are so high, he couldn't use the insurance if he wanted to.
Really? Who thought of that?
I bet when Nancy Pelosi looked at that, she thought, sure, sounds like a good plan. She has absolutely no concept that $2,400 a year is significant to EVERYBODY. Just because it is her June shoe allowance at Dillard's, she thinks that everyone can pay that much.
Anyhoo, good hearted Americans like helping people. But, they aren't quite as keen on socialism, so, I look forward to seeing how things unfold.
