Haters gotta hate

I just want to start off by repeating myself (see previous posts) and say that I truly believe that most democrats are good hearted people who want to help others.

But, when I start to look at elite liberals, I am not so sure that is the case.

Of course,  I don't know for sure, I am just guessing, ok?

But, I see Harry Reid saying that Obamacare is here to stay, blah, blah.  And, I think, he knows how much premiums have gone up, right?  He knows that families are losing their health coverage, that spouses are being dropped from coverage and that young people (who are paying the bill for this monstrosity) aren't signing up.

He does know all that, right?

So, what's the deal?  Does he want to make American people suffer?  Is that what he wants?

I mean democrats say that they want to help people.  They say that they are looking out of the little guy, the working people.  They are on our side.

Why can't they see that the very policies they promote don't help people?  Democratic philosophies don't help people, they hurt people.  They know that, right?  (Please see my first post, Giving People Free Stuff Doesn't Help Them.)

Obama openly says that people should pay more in taxes.  Well, he says that the rich should pay more taxes.  That means that if you have an income, you are rich and you should pay more in taxes.

Hollywood understands it.  When a tyrannical leader takes over, everyone suffers.  Seriously, they show that in movies.  When the bad guy takes over, everyone does worse.  It's a Wonderful Life, Meet the Robinsons, Jack Frost, Phineas and Ferb in the 2nd Dimension all show that high taxes, controlling dictators and ruthless leaders hurt people.

After our 2nd worse president ever left office, Reagan took over.  He slashed tax rates on everything. That precipitated the largest economic, technological and ingenious period of time that the world has ever known.

And, FEDERAL REVENUE WENT UP.  Yes, dear reader, it went up.  People produced more, they earned more, they worked more and they paid more in taxes.  Not because he RATE went up, because the rate went DOWN, the federal government earned more moe y.  Then, liberals got to spend it all.

Here is the thing about increasing tax rates, you don't always get a corresponding increase in the amount of actual revenue that comes in.  The wealthy move or just move their money to avoid paying higher taxes.  The poor can't pay the higher taxes and they either get in big trouble or starve.

We've done all of this before.  Why do we have to do it again?  It's called communism and we went to a lot of trouble to get rid of it.  Why are we trying it here like it is a refreshing social experiment?  Why are we trying it here as though, this time, it might work?
